ST. THOMAS — On Thursday at approximately 7:21 p.m., VIPD detectives arrested 40-year-old Khaleem Rieara of Paul M. Pearson Gardens and charged him with simple assault, domestic violence.
Rieara is accused of striking his intimate partner in the face with a closed fist, causing visible injuries on Tuesday, according to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima.
Rieara was not offered bail as per the territory’s domestic violence laws. He was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
