Gunshot Victim Arrives at JFL After Multiple Shots Reported Near Walter I.M. Hodge

VIPD says 911 received reports of multiple shots fired near the entrance to the Walter I.M. Hodge community around 6:53 a.m. Monday; the victim arrived at Juan F. Luis Hospital by private vehicle shortly afterward.

ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department is investigating a shooting after a gunshot victim arrived at the Juan F. Luis Hospital by private vehicle Monday morning, shortly after 911 received reports of multiple shots fired near the Walter I.M. Hodge community.

According a VIPD release issued Monday evening, the 911 Emergency Call Center received reports from concerned citizens at approximately 6:53 a.m. on June 15 regarding multiple shots fired in the Walter I.M. Hodge area, near the entrance to the community.

Shortly afterward, the gunshot victim arrived at the Juan F. Luis Hospital by private vehicle.

Officers responded and opened an investigation into the incident. The VIPD said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under active investigation.
