ST. THOMAS — The V.I. Police Department announced Thursday that it is actively investigating a case of grand larceny at Drive Green VI, a vehicle rental service located in Lindberg Bay, St. Thomas.

The incident, reported on January 8, involved the unauthorized removal of essential components from several rental vehicles, marking a significant theft that has stirred concern within the local community.

According to the report, police were alerted to the incident by the 911 Emergency Call Center, leading to the dispatch of officers to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers learned from the management of Drive Green VI that components had been unlawfully removed from at least eight of their rental vehicles. This theft represents a considerable loss for the business.

The case is now in the hands of the VIPD's Criminal Investigation Bureau. Investigators are actively working to uncover details of the crime and identify those responsible.
