ST. CROIX — A man reported to police that he was being shot at while driving on Midland Road on Sunday afternoon, according to a V.I. Police Department release.
The 911 Emergency Call Center initially alerted the VIPD to reports of gunshots near Marvelous Auto Repair. Responding officers made contact with an adult male victim at the scene. The man recounted that as he was driving near Bliss Night Club, he began hearing gunshots. Only when he noticed a black, heavily tinted Acura TSX next to him did he realize he was the target. The shooter, described by the victim as a black male, was leaning out of the vehicle's sunroof, firing a handgun equipped with a clip at him.
The victim immediately brought his vehicle to a halt. Meanwhile, the shooter continued in the direction of Mon Bijou light, still discharging his firearm.
