Officers respond to 911 alerts, victims transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center following shooting

ST. THOMAS — The V.I. Police Department on Friday responded to reports of gunfire in Bovoni, where a shooting incident left three men wounded.

According to the police report, the 911 Emergency Call Center received the first alerts at around 7:57 p.m., prompting officers and emergency medical services to respond.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found one adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Simultaneously, the VIPD was informed by the Schneider Regional Medical Center that two additional male victims had been transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of gunshot injuries.

All three victims, identified as adult Black males, were treated for their injuries at the hospital. Their conditions were not immediately disclosed.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau’s Major Crimes Division has launched an investigation into the shooting and is actively seeking information from the public. Authorities are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Bureau at (340) 774-2211, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or dial 911.
