ST. THOMAS — V.I.P.D. detectives on Sunday afternoon discovered the remains of a partially decomposed body in the Oswald Harris Court housing community.
The officers were dispatched to the scene at around 12:08 p.m. and discovered the body in Apartment 6, according to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima.
Mr. Derima said a family member of the deceased identified the male as 51-year-old Foster D. Cornelius.
The body was removed from the scene by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death will be determined after an autopsy is performed, according to police.
