ST. THOMAS — Virgin Islands police on Tuesday afternoon arrested Dionno Brooks, 25, of Anna’s Retreat, in connection with a late-night burglary at a home in his own St. Thomas neighborhood.
Brooks was charged at about 12:15 p.m. His bail status was unknown.
According to a VIPD release, Brooks was identified as the individual who entered a home in Anna’s Retreat on April 18 without permission while the residents were there, taking cash and documents.
The investigation found that Brooks allegedly made his way into the house through a sliding glass door. When he realized that the residents were home, police say Brooks fled through the same door in an unknown direction with stolen cash and documents in hand.
