ST. CROIX — V.I.P.D. detectives arrested John Allen, age 37 — who is currently in the custody of the Bureau of Corrections on a separate matter — and charged him with third-degree burglar and grand larceny.

Allen was arrested regarding a burglary that occurred January 31 on Bjerge Gade, Charlotte Amalie, according to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima. He was already in police custody in connection with several larcenies that occurred from 2019 to May 2020 throughout the island of St. Thomas.

Unable to make bail of $20,000, Allen was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
