ST. CROIX — A 27-year-old man from Christiansted was taken into custody on Sunday after allegedly assaulting two individuals, firing shots, and issuing threats. The suspect, identified as Brian B. Roebuck, later turned himself in to the police.

The 911 Emergency Call Center had received reports of gunshots in the Little Princess residential area at approximately 2:33 p.m. on Sunday. Upon arriving at the scene, officers gathered statements from victims and witnesses.

According to the statements collected, Roebuck had been at a victim's residence, where he reportedly assaulted two individuals. He allegedly left the scene, only to return with a firearm. Witnesses claimed that he fired three shots and threatened one of the victims. Furthermore, Roebuck reportedly pointed his firearm at one of the witnesses while leaving the scene.

Later that evening, Roebuck turned himself into the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station. After being advised of his Miranda Rights, he provided a statement in which he denied assaulting anyone.

Roebuck was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, discharging or aiming firearms, carrying of firearms openly or concealed, possession of ammunition, simple assault and battery, and disturbance of the peace by threats.

Unable to post the $30,000 bail, Roebuck was booked into custody. He then cooperated with detectives, leading them to the location of the concealed firearm — a black 'ghost gun,' which was successfully recovered.

Following these events, Roebuck was remanded to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
