ST. THOMAS — V.I. Police Department officers on Saturday morning launched a homicide investigation following a distressing 911 call revealing that a male victim had been shot dead in Nadir Hill, St. Thomas, the Consortium learned following an inquiry.
At approximately 6:00 a.m., a concerned citizen reported discovering an unresponsive male in a vehicle near the area of Nadir Hill, St. Thomas.
Responding officers from the Mariel C. Newton Command arrived at the scene and found an unresponsive black male in a car, who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), who were also present at the site, confirmed that the male showed no signs of life.
The victim has since been identified by his next of kin as 53-year-old Terrence Rabsatt. Details concerning any potential suspects, their ages, addresses, or additional charges have yet to be disclosed.
