15 Law Enforcement and Four Auxiliary Officers Take Oath of Office on St. Croix

ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department’s Training Bureau held a graduation ceremony at the D. C. Canegata Recreational Center Friday, where 15 law enforcement officers and four auxiliary police officers took the oath of office. 

The law enforcement officers are:

  1. Tishelle Cox – Virgin Islands Police Department
  2. Alexis Dujon – Virgin Islands Police Department (Highest Firearm Award, Commissioner’s Award)
  3. Shane Hector – Virgin Islands Police Department
  4. Rasheeda King – Virgin Islands Police Department
  5. Shamalia Lopez – Virgin Islands Police Department
  6. Akima Benjamin – Juan F. Luis Hospital
  7. Harold Johnson – Juan F. Luis Hospital
  8. Charles Sealey, Jr. – Juan F. Luis Hospital
  9. Shannon Nielsen – Juan F. Luis Hospital (Highest Physical Fitness Award)
  10. David Isaac, Jr. – Bureau of Corrections
  11. Talif Nurse – Bureau of Corrections (Leadership Certificate)
  12. Chenelle Brady – Executive Security Unit
  13. Darrette Serrano – Executive Security Unit (Highest Physical Fitness Award, Most Determined Certificate)
  14. Martha Sankitts – Department of Planning & Natural Resources
  15. Annais Jawahir – Virgin Islands Legislature (Highest Academic Award)

 

The auxiliary police officers who were promoted and will be employed at the V.I. Police Department were:

  1. Johnny Cornelius (Highest Physical Fitness Award, Highest Firearm Award, Commissioner’s Award)
  2. Careeme Smith (Leadership Certificate)
  3. Jonah Smith (Most Determined Certificate)
  4. Tiesha Soto (Highest Physical Fitness Award, Highest Firearm Award)

 

A selfsame event was held in the St. Thomas-St. John District on Sept. 8,  where 11 law enforcement officers and four auxiliary police officers received their oath of office.

The law enforcement officers are:

  1. Angenique Larcheveaux – Virgin Islands Police Department
  2. Tanisha Ryan-Estevez – Bureau of Corrections
  3. Jahmar Hodge – Bureau of Corrections (Highest Physical Fitness Award, Leadership Certificate)
  4. Merian Pena Guerrero – Department of Justice (Highest Academic Award)
  5. Antonio Christopher – Department of Planning & Natural Resources (Most Determined Certificate)
  6. Senae Glasgow – Executive Security Unit
  7. Khalisha Clarke – Virgin Islands Legislature
  8. D-Ganric Callwood – Virgin Islands Port Authority (Highest Firearm Award, Commissioner’s Award)
  9. Desta Williams – Virgin Islands Port Authority (Highest Physical Fitness Award)
  10. Denisha Roberts – Virgin Islands Port Authority
  11. Abigail Eli – Virgin Islands Port Authority (Highest Firearm Award)

 

The auxiliary police officers are:

  1. Kavern Brathwaite (Highest Physical Fitness Award)
  2. Delvin Duggins, Jr. (Highest Firearm Award, Leadership Certificate)
  3. Aisha Somersall (Highest Academic Award)
  4. Johwann Stuart (Highest Physical Fitness Award, Highest Firearm Award, Commissioner’s Award)

 

Remarks were given by Governor Albert Bryan and Police Commissioner Nominee Ray Martinez. Both extended heartfelt congratulations and encouragement to the new officers as they start their new careers, according to the V.I.P.D.

The keynote speaker for the St. Thomas graduation was Virgin Islands Attorney General Denise George, and the guest speaker in St. Croix was Sean Santos, St. Croix District Chief of Police.
