KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The police in the central parish of Clarendon are investigating an incident in which a fisherman was held up a robbed by three men who were pretending to be cops.
According to reports, shortly before 3:00am (local time), the 46 year old fisherman was at home when the men robbed him of J$4-million (One Jamaica dollar =US$0.008 cents) and two cell phones.
The men then escaped in a nearby vehicle.
The police say that during the altercation, the fisherman pinched a window of the vehicle and injured himself.
The incident is also being investigated by detectives from Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime and Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau.
