The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Association announced Monday night that its Men National team starter and three-time 2021 UPSL Team of the week selectee with the Pittsburgh City United FC, Jett Blaschka, has signed a contract to play professional soccer with the Manchester 62 FC organization in Gibraltar.

Gibraltar is a small British Overseas Territory about 2.6 square miles with a population of about 33,700. It sits on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula, with Spain on its northern border.

According to Manchester 62 FC, Jett is considered one of its highest profile international signings in a while. The club is one of eleven in the Gibraltar Football Association’s Premier League.

The Gibraltar FA was formed in 1895 and is one of the oldest football associations in the world. It is also one of the 55 National Associations that fall under the organizing umbrella of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

Manchester 62 FC was previously known as Manchester United F.C. in honor of the English club Manchester United, however the name was officially changed during 2013–14 season. The club's crest was also altered to reflect the name change.
