Roach Tests Positive For Covid-19, Will Quarantine Until May 2

Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach has tested positive for Covid-19, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor has announced.

According to the release, after being notified Wednesday morning, April 27th of a positive case in his office, Mr. Roach underwent testing and his results were positive. 

He was scheduled to make remarks at the Carnival Food Fair held on Wednesday but was unable to do so due to testing positive, the O.L.G. said.

The lieutenant governor has canceled all his public appearances and is self-quarantining until May 2, as per the guidelines implemented by the V.I. Department of Health.

Mr. Roach has been fully vaccinated since March 2021, according to his office.

The lieutenant governor wished everyone a safe and enjoyable carnival and encouraged everyone to continue to follow all Covid-19 safety protocols throughout the ongoing festivities.
