As the community works through the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic together, FirstBank said on Thursday that it is taking the necessary preventive measures to protect the wellbeing of their clients and employees.
As part of these efforts, effective Friday, March 20, FirstBank will be temporarily reducing its branch network with the closure of three locations: St. Croix: Frederiksted Branch & St. Thomas: Crown Bay & East End Plaza Branches. Night depository services at these locations will not be available. ATMs will continue to be operational at the Crown Bay and East End Plaza locations.
The remaining 7 FirstBank branches in the USVI network are open and observing regular business hours and ATM and Night Depository services remain functional at this time, the bank said.
In an effort to follow the social distancing guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), FirstBank clients are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the wide array of digital service channels available that provide the ability to manage finances and banking transactions from anywhere without the need to visit the Bank. For more information on the available services, please visit www.1firstbank.com or contact FirstLine Solutions Center at 1.866.695.2511.
FirstBank said it will continue to be vigilant in the development of this situation and remain committed to providing the highest level of service that its clients deserve while protecting the health of our employees. Further changes to the branch schedules will be communicated accordingly.
