ST. THOMAS — The daughter of former Senator Almando "Rocky" Liburd was found dead on Thursday morning in Sugar Estate at 8:27 a.m., V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima confirmed to the Consortium Friday morning.
Mr. Derima said police were dispatched to Sugar Estate in reference to a dead on arrival incident. Upon their arrival, the officers made contact with an unresponsive black female, who was identified by next of kin as 38-year-old Alana A. Liburd.
The cause of death was unknown as of Friday pending an autopsy to be performed next week, according to Mr. Derima.
