Bryan Cancels Appearances and is Self-Quarantining After Testing Positive For Covid-19

Governor Albert Bryan has canceled appearances and is self-quarantining after testing positive for Covid-19, Gov't House announced Wednesday.

According to the administration, after returning to the territory on Tuesday afternoon following a weeklong trip to Washington, D.C., and Miami, Mr. Bryan tested positive for the coronavirus early Wednesday morning.

Mr. Bryan, who is vaccinated, is asymptomatic and in good health, Gov't House said. However, in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and V.I. Department of Health guidelines, he has canceled all of his public appearances and is self-quarantining until April 27.

Gov't House said though the governor is fully vaccinated and boosted, he has continued the practice of also taking a Covid-19 test upon his return to the territory since the beginning of the pandemic.
