69th Covid-Related Death in USVI is 51-Year-Old Man

The V.I. Dept. of Health Tuesday night announced the 69th Covid-19 related death in the U.S. Virgin Islands, an announcement that came just hours after the department announced the 68th death related to the virus.

"After further investigating cause of death and ensuring notification of next of kin, the Virgin Islands Department of Health is saddened to confirm the territory’s sixty-ninth death related to COVID-19. The deceased is a 51-year-old male on St. Croix," D.O.H. said in release.

Earlier today, the department announced that a 61-year-old woman from St. Thomas had died from complications related to Covid-19. 

Active Covid-19 cases territory-wide stood at 191 as of Tuesday afternoon, according to latest data provided by D.O.H. St. Croix represented the bulk of the active infections with 134 cases, down from 158 a day earlier, followed by St. Thomas with 54 active cases, and St. John with 3.
