The V.I. Dept. of Health on Monday announced 11 new Covid-19 cases in the USVI, with St. Croix recording an overwhelming majority of the cases with 10, while St. John registered 1 additional case — bringing the small island's total to 7 confirmed, three of which were active as of Monday.

Governor Bryan had said during his Monday press briefing that 16 new cases would be announced. It was not clear what caused the discrepancy between the number Mr. Bryan announced and D.O.H.'s infographic data, released late Monday.

According to the data, St. Croix moved from 138 confirmed cases to 148; St. Thomas remained unchanged at 62, and St. John moved from 6 to 7 cases.

As of Monday 4,395 tests have been performed, with 4,084 returning negative and 217 positive. There were 94 test results pending; 105 actives, along with 106 recoveries.

Six people have died from the virus in the territory, and there was one patient at the Juan F. Luis Hospital on a ventilator as of Monday.
