WAPA To Continue Expansion Of Potable Water Service In Anna's Retreat Heights Monday

ST. THOMAS -- WAPA Executive Director Julio A. Rhymer, Sr. announced Friday the extension of potable water service to residents of Anna’s Retreat Heights on St. Thomas, WAPA announced today. Utilizing funding provided in Act 7233, WAPA will begin the installation of potable water service to residences located north of the Hometown service station on Monday, according to the release.

“We continue to seek out both local appropriations and grant funding to expand our potable water service to residential communities in both districts. Up to 80 homes will receive potable water service once this project is completed,” Rhymer said.

Through Friday, January 30, 2017, crews will be installing both six-inch and four-inch PVC piping to facilitate the introduction of potable water service to Anna’s Retreat Heights.

Rhymer cautioned that while crews are working, there will be a lane closure in the area, and no parking will be allowed along the roadway. Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the roadway prior to Monday, January 23. Motorists and residents are asked to obey all traffic signs and the direction of flag persons for the safety of all.
