ST. CROIX — The West Indian Company Limited and the Havensight Mall Merchants’ Association will host their 35th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Havensight Mall.
“The Christmas Tree Lighting is the company’s biggest annual event,” said Anthony A. Ottley, interim president and CEO, and director of property management. “We are pleased to welcome the community and to contribute to the festive spirit of the Holiday Season.”
The WICO Christmas Tree lighting event features music entertainment beginning at 11 a.m., a Christmas parade, a visit from Santa, gifts for the first one-thousand children and the Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m., WICO said.
Parade participants this year include the Charlotte Amalie High School Marching Hawks, the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Dynamic Rays, the St. Thomas Majorettes, Eccentric Mocko Jumbies Culture Shock Moko Jumbies and the Rising Stars “Pan Round Deh Neck”, Enchantment Entertainers and of course, Santa, according to the release.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Kelly Jr., Kashief “DJ Kuntry” Hamilton, Milo’s Kings, Top Notch Band and closing out the festivities with the Spectrum Band.
Local food, drinks and seasonal treats will be on sale, and stores will remain open late to accommodate holiday shoppers.
