ST CROIX — Due to a significant disruption caused by a broken pipe on Wednesday, the John H. Woodson Junior High School will remain closed on Thursday for assessment and cleanup.

The Dept. of Education reported that the maintenance team addressed the issue, managing to repair the pipe by Wednesday afternoon. However, the school administration deemed it necessary to take additional precautions to ensure the campus is safe.

Parents and students are advised that the school plans to resume regular operations and reopen its doors on Friday, September 29 at 8:00 a.m. Keeping in mind the revised bus schedule that began earlier this week, bus pickups are scheduled to start at 6:45 a.m.

The school administration extended its gratitude to the community for their understanding and patience.
