A group of Virgin Islanders assembled at the Bypass Overlook in Christiansted on Thursday to protest key policies of the Trump administration. Demonstrators called for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and sharply criticized ongoing efforts to minimize the role of the U.S. Department of Education. The protest reflected growing concern among residents about the federal government’s stance on immigration and public education, among other policies, both of which have faced sweeping rollbacks under recent executive actions.
