ST. THOMAS — Viya customers located on the east end of St. Thomas and St. John who were adversely affected due to a fiber cut that was a result of roadside trenching executed by AT&T yesterday, have been fully restored, Viya has announced.
Viya thanked all residential and business customers for their patience during the service interruption. "Viya understands the importance of connectivity and technicians worked diligently throughout the day to restore service on Friday night," the company said.
While most affected customers were restored by 11:00 p.m., there are customers in the vicinity of Mandahl and Lovenlund, who are still affected this morning. Viya said it continues its restoration efforts and anticipates that the aforementioned areas will be online shortly.
Viya apologized for the inconvenience this matter has caused its customers.
