VI Board of Real Estate Appraisers Offers Continuing Educational Courses

The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) Division of Boards and Commissions on Thursday informed the public and licensees that the Virgin Islands Real Estate Appraisers’ Board will be offering continuing education hours for Real Estate Appraisers.

Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Instructors, Mr. Dennis Badger and Mr. Tom Veit  both who are Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) Certified, have come to the US Virgin Islands to teach the following two courses to licensees in the territory:

2020-2021 7-Hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update Course; and,

“Supporting Your Value Opinion.”

The courses will be offered at DLCA on Monday, December 9, 2019 on St. Thomas and Tuesday, December 10, 2019, on St. Croix at 9:00am. 

The cost associated for the course is $150.00/each. This does not include the cost of the manuals, which is required for the course. Manuals for the 2020-21 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course are available for purchase from the Real Estate Appraisers Board for a cost of $50.00/each, by check or money order only.  Payments for courses and manuals must be made separately.

If you are interested in taking any one or both of the courses, kindly notify the Office of Boards and Commissions by November 22, 2019. RSVP for this course must be made with payment on or before the date of the deadline.
