In an emergency V. I. Lottery Commission meeting held on Monday, a decision was made to postpone drawing #955 from April 2 to April 16 — a move that was attributed to the coronavirus pandemic and actions taken by the Bryan administration, such as social distancing, to help blunt the virus's spread.
According to the V.I. Lottery Commission, dealers’ special numbers will be available for pick up until Wednesday, April 8. The Lottery's office will continue to be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. "We also are continuing to follow the guidance of the Department of Health practicing social distancing," said V.I. Lottery.
No more than five patrons are allowed into the lobby at a time, according to the release. "If you are experiencing any of the signs and symptoms, please seek immediate help and urge you to self-isolate. We thank our dealers and the community for your continued understanding and support. Please be safe," V.I. Lottery said.
