The V.I. Department of Education has confirmed that most public schools within the territory will return to their schedules on Friday, October 6, following recent disruptions due to adverse weather conditions and power outages.

Return to Regular Timing: The majority of public schools will operate as usual on October 6th, eradicating the 2-hour delay schedule previously in place.

St. Croix Exceptions: St. Croix Central High School and Eulalie Rivera K-8 School will remain closed, with students expected to continue their studies using instructional packets and emailed assignments.

Abbreviated Schedules in St. Croix: John H. Woodson Jr. High School will run from 8:00 am to 1:15 pm. Similarly, the St. Croix Educational Complex and the Career & Technical Education Center (CTEC) will operate from 7:40 am to 1:05 pm.

Virtual Learning at St. Thomas: Students of Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School in St. Thomas will persist with virtual learning. However, teachers are mandated to conduct these virtual lessons from their on-campus classrooms.
