The V.I. Police Department has announced traffic restrictions for the upcoming Pre-Valentine’s Day Jump Up, scheduled for Friday, February 9 in the town of Christiansted.

Officials have designated several areas in Christiansted as no-parking zones to accommodate the event's festivities. These restrictions include Queen Cross Street from its corner to the Caravelle Casino, Company Street from Church Street to the market, and King Street from King Cross Street to the King Christian Hotel. The no-parking rules will be in effect from 4:00 p.m. to midnight.

In addition to parking restrictions, there will be a rerouting of westbound traffic on Company Street from Hospital Street onto Queen Street. The department stresses that these traffic restrictions and roadblocks will be strictly enforced starting at 4:00 p.m., and any vehicles found in violation of these restrictions risk being towed.

The VIPD emphasized the importance of these measures for ensuring public safety and smooth traffic flow during the Jump Up event.
