ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Police Department on Friday advised the motoring public of the following parking restrictions and street closings scheduled for the 2019 St. Croix Christmas Boat Parade & Fireworks, to be held in downtown Christiansted on Saturday.
From 5 p.m. until the completion of the event, the following parking restrictions will be in effect:
- No parking on King Street or Company Street from Market Street to the Christiansted Wharf,
- No parking on Church Street, between King and Company Streets.
- No parking on Market Street, between King and Company Streets.
- No parking on Hospital Street, between King and Company Streets.
- No parking on Queen Street, between King and Company Streets.
Any vehicle found parked in the restricted areas will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense. Owners or drivers whose vehicle has been towed should contact the Ancilmo Marshall Command at (340) 773-2530, the V.I.P.D. said.
Also, officers will be stationed at certain areas to reroute traffic away from the event area. We ask for the community’s cooperation.
The VIPD said it regrets any inconvenience these road closures and restrictions may cause. We wish the community a safe and enjoyable event.
