ST. THOMAS — Search teams will be out again on Saturday morning, looking for 61 year old Kevin Highfield, who went missing ahead of a scheduled tour on Wednesday.

Mr. Highfield was supposed to be on an 11 a.m. tour of one of the Magens Bay trails, but reportedly never showed up. His silver Toyota Tacoma was discovered parked on the western end of Magens Bay.

A friend spent hours searching the trails, but did not find any sign of the missing man. St. Thomas Rescue began canvassing the area on Friday, reportedly using drones equipped with infrared cameras to detect body heat.

The V.I.P.D. Major Crimes Unit has also joined the search, using dogs in an attempt to track his scent.

Despite the lack of success thus far, authorities indicate that the search will begin anew on the morning of September 7. Teams will assemble at 8 a.m. at Magens Bay Shed 4.
