ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Police Department is notifying the motoring public that a portion of the Melvin Evans Highway — from the Sunny Isle stoplight westbound to the Home Depot stoplight — will be closed for roadwork through Saturday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During the road closure, both westbound lanes of that portion of the highway will be closed. When the road is open in the mornings, one or both lanes may be open for traffic access, according to road conditions.
Motorists are asked to find alternate routes or leave at least 30 minutes earlier to get to your destination on time.
The VIPD said it regrets any inconvenience these road closures may cause.
