The Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) has announced that all public school students will return to classrooms on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, marking the beginning of the third marking period and the second semester of the academic year.

Key dates for teachers and students

Before students return, teachers are scheduled to report for Classroom Preparation Day on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, to ensure readiness for the upcoming semester.

Regular hours resume for St. Croix schools

The department also noted that several schools in the St. Croix District, which had been operating on modified schedules, will resume their regular hours starting on January 8. These schools include:

  • Eulalie Rivera PreK-8 School
  • St. Croix Central High School
  • St. Croix Educational Complex High School
  • St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC)

 

VIDE expressed its enthusiasm for welcoming students back, emphasizing the department’s commitment to a productive and successful second semester.
