A landmark initiative has been set in motion on St. Croix, aimed at uplifting and supporting the marginalized communities. Liberty Place Inc., under its project ALLAHWE, which already offers a range of services for the homeless, has unveiled its latest endeavor: the Assertive Community Action Team (ACAT).
ACAT, comprising a diverse group of licensed or certified professionals, will concentrate on providing intense, community-centered support to individuals, addressing their homeless resources and needs, according to a recently issued release. The initiative's objectives are clear: aid individuals in achieving their recovery goals, curtail hospitalizations and incarcerations, and enhance their quality of life. The broader vision of this project is to bring about a tangible, positive transformation for St. Croix.
Leslie Raymer, executive director of Liberty Place, Inc., expresses her enthusiasm, "ALLAHWE is more than just a program; it embodies a community, a family," she said. "With the launch of the Assertive Community Action Team, we aim to accentuate our core message: everyone is welcome here, each individual matters, and everyone deserves respect, support, and dignity."
In alignment with the new initiative's goals, Liberty Place Inc. is on the lookout for adept candidates for the roles of ACAT Director and ACAT Case Managers. The director will be in charge of the team's daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and supervising staff. Meanwhile, case managers will offer direct services like assessment, crisis intervention, care coordination, and more.
Prospective applicants can delve deeper into the job specifications and apply via Dept. of Labor's VIeWS or Indeed.
Funding for the Assertive Community Action Team Programs and Resources is courtesy of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). Advocating for an inclusive approach, ALLAHWE is an equal opportunity employer that cherishes diverse stories and backgrounds.
