My Brothers Workshop joined with Discover Fund Management and the Island Caribbean Relief Fund to raise more than $30,000 to provide meals and essential items to vulnerable residents of the V.I.

“Inspired by the generosity shown by MBW supporters on #GivingTuesdayNow, Discover Fund Management pledged to match all donations made to My Brother’s Workshop May 6th - 31st up to $10,000,” reads a MBW press release Wednesday. “Within 5 days, the community had answered that match. Then, The Island Caribbean Relief Fund, a 501c3 organization led by Island Global Yachting, supported by its shareholders and partners made a $10,000 donation. That means over $30,000 was raised.”

My Brother’s Workshop has partnered with local government agencies, businesses and other non-profits during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide meals and essential supplies to seniors, homeless, displaced school children — all while keeping the MBW trainees enrolled in MBW and engaged in their program of mentorship, education, mental health counseling, on the job training, and job placement.

Since launching their “Meals on Wheels'' initiative on Monday, March 23rd, MBW Cafe and Bakery has prepared and distributed over 20,000 meals on St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix.
