ST. THOMAS — Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority has advised the public that its contractors are performing a manhole replacement along Hospital Line directly below the Lionel Roberts Stadium on the shoulder of the road.

Work began on Sunday and is anticipated to be concluded on Thursday.

WMA said traffic will be temporally blocked on Hospital Line and diverted around the stadium along the Old Hospital Road. Workers will be present to direct traffic and motorists are asked to proceed with caution in the area. The motoring public is also asked to consider the use of alternate routes to avoid the impacted area.

This manhole replacement project is a continuation of hurricane repair work to improve the sanitary sewer system along the Moravian Gut. The project addresses issues from Hospital Line along the Canal Gade waterway to the intersection of Hospital Gade and Veterans Drive.

WMA said it continues to work diligently to provide reliable services and would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation as we complete this replacement.
