The Marriott Frenchman's Cove in Estate Bakkeroe
ST. THOMAS — The V.I. Police Department announced Thursday night that a man died after falling off a balcony at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove in Estate Bakkeroe. Frenchman's Cove is the Marriott Resort's premium vacation ownership resort surrounded by a secluded beach overlooking the Bay and St. Thomas harbor.
According to a V.I.P.D. release, officers responded to a call from the 911 Emergency Call Center at about 9:07 p.m. regarding a male individual who had fallen off a balcony from Frenchman's Cove. Upon the officer's arrival to the location, they met with Emergency Medical Technicians who at the time were providing medical treatment to the male individual.
Identified as 24-year-old Reshad F. Hoque, the victim succumbed to his injuries. "The cause of death is undetermined currently pending the Medical Examiner’s findings," stated the V.I.P.D. later in the release.
