Fresh from his fifth State of the Territory Address, Governor Albert Bryan will be interviewed by V.I. Consortium Publisher Ernice Gilbert Thursday evening, their fifth post-SOTA interview since Mr. Bryan took office in 2019.

The interview will start at 6:00 p.m. and end at about 7:30 p.m. It will be conducted at Gov't House on St. Croix, and will be carried live on the Consortium's Facebook platform and website.

Mr. Gilbert said he will seek responses from the governor on pertinent and difficult issues facing the USVI, including clarification from Mr. Bryan on statements he made during his SOTA on Monday.

"First of all, it has been an absolute honor to be able to interview Governor Bryan every year since he took office, sometimes multiple times a year. He is a leader I have great respect for," Mr. Gilbert said.

"During the interview, I will seek answers from questions that are relevant to the territory, including items not addressed during Governor Bryan's State of the Territory Address on Monday, and responses on the tough matters we face as a people," he added.

During his address — the first since winning re-election — Mr. Bryan painted an optimistic and bold picture for the USVI that he says will be manifested beginning now and through the next decade. These items include modernized airports, billions of dollars in construction spending that will help lift the local economy, a permanent fix of the V.I. Water and Power Authority, and addressing the housing crisis, among other priorities.
