The Government Employees' Retirement System on Friday announced its annual "V.I. Lottery Bonus Checks" to the system's 7,575 eligible retirees.
The checks, all in the amount of $135.77 have been processed and will be issued on Nov. 23, G.E.R.S. said.
"Retirees age 60 and above and having been on the retirement payroll for one year, and all disability annuitants who have been on the payroll for one year can expect to receive their bonus payment in the net amount of $135.77 after taxes," G.E.R.S. said via release Friday.
The pension system said payments will be made through the customary method in which retirees currently receive their annuity payments.
G.E.R.S. wished its members a happy Thanksgiving.
