Five Schools on St. Croix Starting at 9 a.m. Friday Due to Inclement Weather Overnight; No Changes in STT-STJ District

The St. Croix Educational Complex. By. V.I. CONSORTIUM

The V.I. Dept. of Education announced early Friday that due to inclement weather experienced overnight, five schools in the St. Croix District will have a delayed start on Friday, September 30.

9:00 a.m. start time 

(school bus pick-up will begin at 8 a.m. for these schools) 

  • St. Croix Central High School 
  • St. Croix Educational Complex High School 
  • St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center 
  • Claude O. Markoe Elementary School 
  • Lew Muckle Elementary School 

 

All other schools in the St. Croix District will open at their normal times and bus pick-up will be at the normal times, the department said.

All schools in the St. Thomas-St. John District will open at their normal times and bus pick-up will be at the normal times. Addelita Cancryn Intermediate & Jr. High School will revert to virtual learning, as previously announced. 

The Department of Education thanked parents, students, and school-based staff for their continued cooperation.
