Elections System of the Virgin Islands Announces Passing of Board Member Glenn Webster

The Elections System of the Virgin Islands on Thursday announced the passing of longtime board member Glenn Webster.

"It is with sadness that the Elections System of the Virgin Islands express our condolences to the family and friends of board member, Mr. Glenn Webster," the System said.

According to the statement, Mr. Webster was initially elected to the Board of Elections in Nov. 2012 and began his tenure in January 2013. He was then elected to serve two more terms with his last election win coming in 2020.

"We extend our appreciation for his public service to our community. Glenn made sure his voice was heard and his decisions were his own, and he stood by them fervently.

"We pray for healing amongst his family, friends, members and staff of the Elections System of the Virgin Islands. May his soul rest in peace," the Elections System said.

With Mr. Webster deceased, the St. Croix District Board of Elections now has six members. They are: Chairman Raymond Williams, Secretary Lilliana Belardo De O'Neal, Frederick R. Espinosa, Lisa Harris-Moorehead, Barbara Jackson-McIntosh and Epiphane Joseph.

In the St. Thomas-St. John District the board members are Atanya Springette, Lydia Hendricks, Shikima Jones, Angeli Leerdam, Harriet A. Mercer, Arturo Watlington, Jr., and Alecia M. Wells.
