The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) is notifying the public of the latest rack rate prices issued by Gulf Oil at Lime Tree Bay Terminal effective June 29 – July 5, 2020. Rack rate prices have steadily increased since April 27 when unleaded, premium and diesel were $0.93/gallon, $0.99/gallon and $1.08/gallon respectively. Today, the rack prices, with the .14/gallon tax, are $1.6100 for regular, $1.6900 for premium and $1.54 for diesel.
Additionally, DLCA conducted its territory-wide fuel price survey on Monday. “Use the DLCA fuel survey data to make wise informed decisions,” said DLCA Commissioner Richard T. Evangelista. “Consumers should purchase fuel from the lowest priced retailers to encourage greater competition amongst the retailers.” Fuel surveys are included for comparative viewing and transparency.
On St. Croix, the lowest prices for self-service regular and self-service premium were found at Five Corners Service Station and One Love Service Station-Golden Rock at $1.959 and $2.359/gallon respectively. The lowest price for diesel was $2.479/gallon at Super Tank Service Station.
On St. Thomas, the lowest prices for self-service regular fuel were found at 1st Stop, 1st Stop Frydenhoj, Gas Works, Ali Baba, Petrus Polyberg and Race Track at $2.899/gallon. 1st Stop, 1st Stop Frydenhoj, Gas Works, Ali Baba and Racetrack has the lowest price for self-service premium at $3.399/gallon. 1st Stop and 1st Stop Frydenhoj has the lowest price for diesel at $3.299/gallon.
On St. John, the lowest self-service regular prices were found at Racetrack at $3.12/gallon. E-C Gas Station came in second with the lowest for self-service at $3.14/gallon for regular. Racetrack and E-C Gas Station has the lowest price for self-service premium at $3.29/gallon. The lowest price for diesel was found at Racetrack for $3.76/gallon.
