The Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces that pursuant to Virgin Islands Rules and Regulations, Title 12, Chapter 21, Section 904-9, an application for Federal Consistency Determination, CZX-6-22(FC), has been submitted by the Virgin Islands Department of Health. The project proposed consists of repair and in some cases replacement of shutters, windows, doors, roof repairs of a portion of a historic structure in Frederiksted, St. Croix. The project also calls for a new drainage system to be implemented on the interior courtyard. The completed facility will include WIC clinic, executive ofices, a classroom, kitchen, water closets and storage. The proposed project site is located at Plot 22B Frederiksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
All persons interested are invited to be present and heard at the scheduled Public Meeting on the proposed project which begins on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 4:00p.m. In an effort to help to reduce the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Zoom.
Properly signed statements concerning the proposed project, addressed to the undersigned, will become part of the hearing record. Written statements must be submitted by June 6, 2022, via email to [email protected].
The Environmental Assessment Report is available for public review on the DPNR-CZM Website at http://dpnr.vi.gov/czm/ programs-viczmp/federal-consistency-viczmp/ Further, plans for the proposed project are on ile for review by appointment only at the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, Division of Coastal Zone Management, located at 45 Mars Hill, St Croix, Virgin Islands (340) 773-1082, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., except holidays.
