Dept. of Education's Summer Food Service Meal Distribution Program Starts June 23

The V.I. Department of Education’s School Food Authority will operate its Summer Food Service Program June 23 to July 24, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in both school districts, the department has announced. Breakfast and lunch may be picked up at any of the designated locations, and are available to students attending public, private and parochial schools, D.O.E. said. ID is not required.

The Summer Food Service Program, sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture, operates during the summer vacation break, and provides meals that meet federal nutritional guidelines.
