The Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation has announced the temporary closure of Cramer’s Park on St. Croix due to ongoing water and electrical issues. This decision comes in the wake of Tropical Storm Ernesto, which passed through the territory on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, causing widespread disruptions.
In a statement, DSPR emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of visitors at Cramer’s Park. "We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience at Cramer's Park, and we will reopen it as soon as the issues are addressed," the department stated.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed about the status of the park and other recreational facilities by contacting DSPR at 340-773-0160.
The department has not provided a specific timeline for when Cramer’s Park will reopen, but assured the public that efforts are underway to resolve the water and electrical issues as quickly as possible.
