The V.I. Fire Service announced Monday that due to dry weather conditions in the U.S. Virgin Islands, it has issued a ban on outdoor burning until further notice.
"Effective immediately, all outdoor burning is temporarily prohibited in the territory, the Fire Service said. According to the release, existing burn permits will be suspended and no new permits will be issued.
