The V.I. Dept. of Education announced Wednesday night that the St. Croix Central High School will revert to virtual instruction on Thursday, September 15, as contractors complete electrical upgrades throughout the campus.
Virtual instruction will begin at 8:30 a.m., D.O.E. said.
According to the release, teachers are asked to report to the Central High campus at the normal reporting time for a staff meeting.
Students should check email and Schoology for assignments. Central High students who attend classes at CTEC are required to attend those classes in person. School bus service will not be provided.
The critical upgrades to the school’s electrical system will decrease the likelihood of frequent service interruptions, the department said, adding that repairs began on Sept. 14 and are expected to be completed on Sept. 15.
"The Department of Education thanks students, parents, and school-based staff for their cooperation," stated the release.
