ST. THOMAS — Catholic Charities of the Virgin Islands (CCUSVI), the selected lead agency in conjunction with Meeting the Needs of Our Community (MTOC), has partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to distribute Farmers to Families food boxes to those in need.

According to the release, as part of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program, USDA is exercising authority under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act to purchase and distribute agricultural products to those in need. The program supplies food boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and meat products. Food boxes will be pre-packed into family-sized boxes, then transported to food banks, community and faith-based organizations, and other non-profits serving Americans in need.

Distribution of food boxes will take place on Friday, at the Lionel Roberts Stadium, starting at 7:00 am until supplies last.

Be prepared to present photo identification and complete a short intake form prior to receiving food box.

To maintain the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Virgin Islands Department of Health guidelines as it pertains to the Coronavirus, CCVI and MTOC is requesting all participants to wear a mask and observe all social distancing practices. No Mask, No Service.
