The Bureau of Motor Vehicle announced Saturday the reopening of its St. Thomas office on Monday.
The office will open from 8:00 a.m.; BMV Director Barbara Jackson-McIntosh said persons who had appointments were rescheduled either via text message or phone call.
Customers are encouraged to renew their registrations and schedule appointments online by visiting the BMV website at bmv.vi.gov.
Persons doing business at any of the BMV offices are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
"The cooperation of the public is essential to ensure that we all stay as safe as possible," Ms. McInstosh said. She also apologized for any inconvenience that the temporary closure may have caused. BMV announced the closure of its St. Thomas office last week after it said employees were exposed to the Covid-19 virus.
