Banco Popular will resume services on St. Croix at 9:30 a.m. today, said Banco Popular Senior Vice President of the Virgin Islands Region, Oran Roebuck.

The bank's St. Thomas branches will not open today due to a technical glitch, Ms. Roebuck said. "We will resume operations on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m.," she said.

The bank's Tortola branches opened at 8:00 a.m. this morning.

Banco Popular's ATM on St. John is up and running, and the firm's TeleBanco phone service is operational as well.

Oriental Bank

Oriental Bank announced that its St. Thomas and St. Croix branches will open today at 11:00 a.m. as the Government of USVI ended the curfew. "It is important that customers that need to visit the interior of the branch, need to make an appointment," the bank said.

Oriental urged its customers to stay connected through Online Banking and Mobile Banking, which provide customers with 24/7 access. "Customers can also access balances, make payments, transfer between accounts, and verify transactions and paid checks, among other services 24 hours a day through the automated voice system by calling 787.766.4999," the bank said.
