Attorney Lee Rohn, one of the most recognizable counsels in the U.S. Virgin Islands received the 2022 Winston Hodge Award for Public Service.
The V.I. Bar Association has announced that Attorney Lee J. Rohn is this year’s recipient of the prestigious Winston Hodge Award for Public Service.
As noted by Attorney Pam Colon in her introduction of the recipient, Attorney Rohn has a long history of serving the Virgin Islands Bar Association in the areas of law reform, unauthorized practice of law and other committees. She has worked on the Supreme Court’s Rules Committee for the past 4 years, and has an established seat on the American Association for Justice for the Virgin Islands, where she has served as a board director for 25 years.
She has served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Public Justice for more than 20 years. "Attorney Rohn epitomizes community service through her summer camp program for children who reside in the housing projects and through her work with the St. Croix Community Foundation," The V.I. Bar Association stated. "She has spent millions of dollars assisting with client expenses to bring cases that no other attorney could afford to bring."
As part of her acceptance speech, Attorney Rohn stated, “I could not have received such an award without all the persons in my office, who are my associates and make what I do possible.”
Established by the Board of Governors in 1997, the Winston A. Hodge Award for Public Service recognizes long-term contributions by members of the Bar who have demonstrated the ideals and commitment that the late Attorney Hodge stood for: community service, commitment and dedication to the Bar and contribution to Bar activities, the V.I. Bar Association said.
